Margaret River Ultra Marathon

Saturday 11th May, Sunday 12th May

• Line in the Sand (LITS) https://lineinthesandgroup.org/ is calling for volunteers to help with the Margaret River Ultra Marathon https://margaretriver.rapidascent.com.au/ and raise funds for the GCBCs Feral Animal Management Program.

• LITS is once again the charity partner for the event, which gives them an opportunity to raise money for programs in the region. LITS is seeking your help in raising volunteers. The MR Ultra will donate to LITS $100 for each half day volunteer and $200 for each full day volunteer that LITS introduces to them.

• Most of the work involves directing runners in and out of aid stations, manning aid stations, competitor registrations and helping at the finish line at Howard Park. There also roles “sweeping” and checking the course. If you get in early, you can choose exactly where you want to be positioned, and also nominate what specific roles and tasks you would like to do.

• There are a number of locations/days/times where people can be deployed but the main spots are as follows:

  Friday 10th May Howard Park
  assisting with registrations between 2.30 and 7 pm

  Saturday 11th May

  • Boranup Campground Aid station between 0630 – 1000
  • Contos Campground Aid station between 0830 – 1300
  • Riflebutts Reserve Aid station between 1030 – 1600
  • Gracetown Beach Aid station between 12 midday – 1930 (or part thereof)
  • Howard Park Finish line between 12 midday – 2100 ( or part thereof)

  Sunday 12th May

  • Yallingup beach for start and Aid station 0730 – 0930
  • Wyadup Road end Aid station 0830 – 1030
  • Moses Rocks Aid Station 0930 – 1230
  • Juniper Rd Aid Station 1000 – 1400
  • Howard Park finish line 0800 – 1600 (or part thereof)

Please also ensure when you register that you tell John you are representing Line in the Sand, to make sure LITS gets the donation.

Easter 2024 in the Bay

Friday 29th to Sunday 31th March 2024

• Come and join in the fun at 2024 Easter in the Bay. The popular Bay Swim, Art in the Bay and the Saturday night Gracetown Music Muster are back, and this year they will be joined by the highly anticipated CBay number plate auction.
• All proceeds raised over the Easter long weekend will help fund a Gracetown nature-based playground.
• This year along with major sponsors, Shellabears, Grace Farm and Seaside Holiday Homes, the Augusta Margaret River Shire has provided a Community Development Grant to support 2024 Easter in the Bay. We are very grateful for their support and the ongoing support of the many local business that provide fantastic Bay Swim prizes.

CBay Number Plate Auction

We are delighted to share that the highly anticipated CBay number plate auction is back! 

The last 9 plates ever to become available in the CBay original series will be auctioned:

All proceeds from the auction will help fund a nature-based playground in Gracetown. The auction will follow the GCBC AGM with bidder registration commencing at approx 4pm at the Gracetown Hall, for more information click here on the auction process and how to register as a bidder.

Gracetown 2024 Easter Bay Swim

Saturday 30th March 2024

• Choose your event 1km or Under 12s Kids swim
• $40 1km swim, $15 Kids entry, includes a complimentary glass of Grace Farm wine for adult swimmers and a swimming cap 
• 8.30 am check in opens, 9.30 am swim start, Gracetown Swimmer’s Beach, Bayview Drive Gracetown
